George Kittle Excited to Brave Buffalo’s Harsh Weather for a Chance to Play with Josh Allen

George Kittle already has two dates circled on the San Francisco 49ers schedule. Kittle spoke to Kay Adams on the “Up and Adams Show” and said the Week 12 and Week 13 road games against the Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills are what he is looking forward to.

He noted that the cold weather may be a little much but that there was another reason, in particular, that the Buffalo Bills game sticks out to him. Even though he is not a fan of the brutally cold weather, a sentiment that he has had since he played college football at Iowa.

“What I’m looking forward to is back-to-back weeks, late November, early December, going to Green Bay and then going to Buffalo,” said Kittle.

The San Francisco 49ers tight end said that he was eagerly waiting to play Josh Allen. He then said that after the conclusion of the games, he hopes to trade jerseys with the Bills quarterback.

“You can get ready for it, but just so it’s like, that’s gonna be cold, but hey, it’s football. You just live with it. I can’t wait. Also, I can’t wait to play Josh Allen. I need a Josh Allen Jersey really bad. I wanna trade jerseys with them,” he added.

George Kittle’s excitement also stems from the fact that he has never played in Highmark Stadium, the only stadium in the NFL that’s left to be explored.

While speaking to Kay Adams, George Kittle was asked if the San Francisco 49ers window to win a Super Bowl was still open. He said that while he was unsure a few years ago, he believes it still is a possibility.

“A couple of years ago, someone asked me, ‘Is the window closing?’ And I was like, ‘If you guys are telling me it’s closing, I guess,’ I think that at any moment, you could just throw a chair through the window and just break it right open. It is what it is. We have the guys on the roster we have. John [Lynch] and Kyle [Shanahan] have done a great job figuring out how to keep our best players on the roster, and I think they’re going to figure out those ways,” he said.

Kittle continued by saying he believed the San Francisco 49ers organization would do what they could to put a winning team on the field:

“We lose guys every single year and we figure out ways to bring other guys back. Whatever happens, happens. For this year, why do I care what happens next year? If we can get the job done this year, then next year will take care of itself, and we’ll figure out that problem next year.”

George Kittle may have been disappointed they couldn’t pull off a win in Super Bowl LVIII, he doesn’t appear to be letting it bother him.
